Just bloggin' away...
Today I was really busy. Busy in the forums for some usual reasons. I have loads of songs to send out and thus my blogging time has been delayed. Yesterday I was busy trying to find a way to reformat my entire Windows, as my MSN is down, as well as the Windows Update. Something's really wrong about my computer this time. I think most computers gives their owners migraine every once in a while.
Well, not much of a program today. I thought of watching the Korean movie "Fighters in the Wind", but couldn't seem to find it anywhere listed in the showbox already... not sure if the show's still around. So, I canceled the trip to the cinema today. Anyway, it's great to stay home today. Especially when the streets are filled with loving couples anyway. Ya know, I don't wanna spoil their fun by stealing one of their seats in the cinema, or taking up spaces in the food court or erhemm... restaurants. Alright, enough of craps.. I shall blog on behalf of yesterday's story.
Yesterday, I went for a service in church. Well, as some of you may wanna know how come, I had a relative dinner on saturday so I couldn't be able to make it for the saturday night service. Anyway, the service was great!!! Especially the sermon. Well, I've taken down some notes of what my pastors have spoken to us, giving us spiritual food and words of wisdom to start our week.
Basically, the sermon was all about how we ought to develop certain characteristics in order to become big and successful people. In this world, there're generally two types of people. And these two types are so distinct that it can determine whether he/she will succeed in life or not. Harsh but true. The two types are: - The Big People, and the Small People.
First and foremost, in order to become big, you need to first become big in the inside. No point being a big and tall person with such a small and narrow heart. Worse still, a small character!
Here are the 10 Characteristics of BIG people: ~
1. Big People are Generous. They are not afraid to give and share with people around them. They are faithful in their giving and are a steward to the things they are entrusted with.
2. Big People Accept Differences. They treat people with respect, regardless of their differences. Acceptance is not compromise, but rather it's a form of respect for that person despite that person's flaws or indifferences. They may not be right but on the whole, respect them as a person, without passing judgements.
3. Big People Forgives and Forgets easily. This is considered the hardest thing one can ever master. However, it is the most essential ingredient if one desires to be a better person. Forgiving a person will break all chains and bondages that he/she has been bound for ages, and by forgiving and forgeting, love will in turn come rushing through and causes peace between both sides. Try it if you are dubious.
4. Big people empowers others to be successful. Being successful with yourself is not enough. It's the most selfish thing one can ever does. This is very important if you are running your own business. By empowering others to be successful, your ideas will become more advanced as more people improvise on it. Henceforth, this is how a legacy is formed.
5. Big People don't try to be Big People. In order to be great, one must first learn to serve. Great people don't just live to be served but are willing to serve others. Do you want to be great? Then serve the people well.
6. Big People treats small people well. This goes without much explanation. It clearly speaks for itself.
7. Big People Listens. Be quick to listen, be slow to speak.
8. Big People honours leadership and accept guidance. Big people are submissive to their leaders and those in charge of them. They are accountable, responsible and teachable. They are willing to learn and accept their weakness pointed out to them. At the same time, they are constantly improving on their strengths.
9. Big People respects manners and spatiality. They are humble. They are courteous. They have manners and etiquettes. Most importantly, they never overstep their boundaries, even with someone they're familiar with. It wouldn't be so nice if you are being too familiar with someone in certain situations that you overstep your boundaries.
10. Big People have Big Capacity.
That's all for now... if I ever get additional notes, I'll edit them and update this entry.
Have to go for dinner now. See ya!
