Revelations II
My Revelations II
Now that the S.A.F. has those 7 core values, we can apply them spiritually as well.
Loyalty to your country
Instead of loyalty to our country, which we must also have, it is now, Loyalty to your God. Loyalty is a QUALITY of remaining faithful to something. And by remaining faithful to our Lord in Heaven, we are being consistent in our walk with God; and to trust in Him during tough times and crisis, believing in miracles that will in turn glorify Him that is in Heaven.
Leadership
4 brief Dictionary definitions of Leadership:
= A POSITION of being a Leader of a Team.
= A QUALITY of being good at leading a Team.
= ALL the people who lead a Team. (A group of leaders.)
= A POSITION of being in front of others in a competition.
Notice that the word "Position" occured twice in the Dictionary's definitions. This means, to be a leader,is to take up a POSITION that allows access to another level; usually a higher level. Next, To be a leader is to have a set of QUALITIES to be QUALIFIED as one.
Here are the QUALITIES of what a leader should have:
= Knowledge. It's so important to have knowledge. Knowledge of the Word is important because it speaks of every truth that we can apply in our daily lives. That's why the devil always distracts us from reading the Word by keeping us busy with other things. Why? Because he wants us to be ignorant, to have no knowledge is the devil's way of keeping us from moving into another level in life. Because through crisis, we will be forced to advance to another level of knowledge we never know before, therefore, the devil looks to prevent us from achieving knowledge so that we'll not be able to handle crisis properly; hence, we get discouraged, and we back off, worse, we back slide. Knowledge is one of Satan's worst enemies.
To be a leader, we need to have knowledge. Knowledge of what? 3 things:
1. Knowledge of Management. Firstly, this speaks about dealing with people (Men: The way you deal with your wives, one wife only, mind you!). It talks about communication skills which is most important in relationships, not mentioning public relations (PR). Secondly, this speaks about dealing with situations. You have to be wise not only in knowing what's wrong and what's right, but knowing your priorities you give for individual matters. Also, you need to develop a habit of knowing what kinds of actions that will glorify God and making sure that they become your top priority and lifestyle in all matters.
2. Knowledge of What to Achieve. In another words, to have Dreams and Visions. What's more important is to have written goals that will push us way out of our limit so that we can excel. To be a leader over your life is the same meaning as taking charge of your life. And to take control of your life, you need to be responsible for your life. By being responsible for your life, you have to set goals, have dreams that will develop into visions, because without vision, you will perish.
3. Knowledge of Organization. In Psalm 37:23, it says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord... The word "Ordered" simply means "Organized". From here we know that God organizes our path in life. He directs our path in an orderly way, according to what He planned. And He makes effective steps to achieve it. Therefore, to have Knowledge of Organization, is to be organized by taking effective steps to achieving goals. In short, is to plan your life. If we fail to plan, we plan to fail.
= Responsibility/Accountability. There're some brief definitions of what it's like being responsible. Firstly, is to be in charge. Secondly, to look after. Thirdly, to make decisions. Lastly, to accept the blame willingly when things don't turn out right. When you are in charge, you take control of situations and you are the one who directs the way. Women loves men who can do that. And to look after means to take care of something that values to you. Being decisive is another attractive quality which I would not stress too much about yet. Lastly, to accept the blame when mistakes are made, is also being accountable. That is the right way and should be the way we, as man answer to our problems. We should take criticisms boldly like a man.
Another thing about being responsible... When you are responsible for something, that thing becomes a priority in your life. How you put it in order depends on how much you value it and how much it means to you. It has become your DUTY. And speaking about Duty, it's also speaking about Serving; and to Serve. We are called and made to serve, not to be served. How much we serve determines our greatness. And in serving, we should always elevate ourselves by moving to a new level or to a place where we are not told what to do. This means that not only we elevate ourselves, we should also have initiative. Because with the initiative to advance to a new level, that will be the road to a promotion.
When you have responsibility and accountability, people will trust you. They will even respect you. They'll look up to you. As a result, you will have authority over them. And DR AR Bernard said that as you advance in knowledge, it moves you to another level of responsibility and then as a result, gives you authority. Leadership is a position you get; Authority is a respect you earn.
Discipline
Three Dictionary definitions:
1. A PRACTICE of making people obey rules & orders. (Spiritual meaning: We must practise obeying God's Word and His Laws & Commandments.)
2. A METHOD of training your mind or learning to control your behaviour. (Spiritual meaning: To train to have SELF-CONTROL, by being an overcomer in times of temptations.)
3. To control the way you work, how regularly you do something, because you know it is good for you. (Spiritual meaning: Develop a habit of growing strong spiritually, which in turn brings benefit to our character. It is said that by doing something regularly, this ACTION becomes a REGULAR ACTION. And regular action will soon become a HABIT. With habit that follows us, it will develop into a LIFESTYLE. Therefore, in time, we'll let this lifestyle becomes part of us, which will then influence our CHARACTER and secondarily the way we think. Our character is determined by our attitude. In conclusion, it is important to develop a habit of reading the Word and doing Quiet Time regularly. This is an attitude we should possess, because our attitude towards God will determine our attitude towards people.)
Professionalism
Dictionary Definition: The skill and high standards of behaviour expected of a professional person.
What is the profession of a Christian?
I can name some. To influence people, to change lives, to make a difference... etc. Are we striving to do these things using better methods through brainstormed ideas? Are we aiming to excel in these things? Because to be professional as a christian, high standards are required. Are we fulfilling the commission? These things are still challenging me so I'm still thinking about it.
Fighting Spirit
When I talk about Fighting Spirit, it's not only having the determination inside us. But I realised that Fighting Spirit is possessed out of Passion. Without Passion for something, there'll be no Fighting Spirit. So, how does passion comes about? It comes when crisis occur. Crisis will bring pain. And through this pain, we'll develop a spirit to fight on, to move to another level of wanting to serve God more and to have passion for His Words and presence. Hence, crisis, to the child of God is always a positive, not a negative thing.
Ethics
Moral Values. If the way we think and the things we believe in are contradicting the bible, then we must renew our mind so that we will be influenced by the correct set of moral values the bible teaches us. Because if there is no renewal of the mind, there will be no transformation nor change. And if there is no transformation, we will always remain the way we are, and that is sad. Another thing is that we must also guard our set of values so that nothing can influence us away from keeping those values. (In short, we have to guard our hearts.)
Care For Soldiers
Instead of caring for soldiers, we can now care for our Brothers and Sisters. It's not just doing shallow and little things just to please them, but really go all out to really love them.

The message I received from Alvin speaks about manhood. I received revelations today and began to type them down and post it to my blog so that I could read them and share them to my friends.
